Review: bakerdays

I was recently lucky enough to be asked to review a bakerdays cake and of course I said yes; it’s cake!!

As it was my Mum’s birthday coming up I organised to have a cake delivered for that occasion. I had the cake delivered here at home so I could see how it all arrived and if the cake was on time. The ordering process was very easy to do. I picked a design which I liked as it was like a tattoo, and then added a little message. There was so many designs to pick from!

Because bakerdays cakes are delivered to you through the letterbox. Yes, through your letterbox. The cake is packaged up inside a tin which is small enough to fit through your door but also preserves the cake (and keeps it safe.)

I am very pleased to say the cake arrived on the day, which is a brilliant service and if I did have it delivered to my Mum, she would have had a lovely surprise on the day.

As soon as you open the box you can smell the sweetness! The box does fit through the letterbox and once you open the packaging you will also find balloons and a party whistle too.

The cake comes in a great little tin and you cannot quite believe a cake will be in there, but it is a perfect size for one person and such a brilliant little gift. The cake will stay fresh for up to 7 days.

I took the cake around to my Mum’s house for her birthday and everyone (my whole family) loved it. They loved the idea behind the business and, the cake itself. Everyone thought it was a brilliant idea and why no one had done it before now!

I shall explain more, bakerdays offers you a service where you can choose your cake from many designs off the website and you can even personalise the cake with your own face! Once you chose your cake you can add a little message to make it even more personal to the person. You can pick different flavours too, so it really does depend on what the person prefers. The choices are endless!

You can also buy cupcakes and personalised balloons too, so you can really make a party out of it even when you are not there. Just chose, click and send the party.

What I absolutely love about this service and company is, it gives you the opportunity to show someone you are thinking of them when you sadly cannot be there in person. It is a brilliant surprise for the recipient; especially if that person might not be getting a birthday cake on their special day. Everyone deserves a cake on their birthday.

It makes a unique and thoughtful present, and you can eat it too!
My Mum loved her cake and she told me it was “very yummy…”, so that is an overall success. I will certainly use bakerdays again for when I cannot make it in person and I think my Nan would appreciate such gift.

The service, the product, the taste, the packaging and the communication was first class, and I really am not just saying that because we got a cake! I can highly recommend this business. This is only my second review since starting Bad Mum as I will only do something I really like and so, I can give a truthful (honest) review for you.
