SIMPLE SUMMER SMOOTHIES
Starting the day with a smoothie can
be one of the easiest and healthiest ways to kick start your day. Morning can
often be hectic and if you aren’t finishing off the kids left overs you may
skip it all together. So starting with a 2 minute smoothie can be the simple
answer.
Here are some of my top tips for
making some awesome smoothies:
- Start with frozen fruit, this way the smoothie will be
nice and cold.
- Bananas will add some extra energy and carbs ( first
peel, wrap in foil and freeze bananas )
- Adding avocado makes the smoothies really creamy and
you can’t even taste it
- Try adding some nut butters for protein ( peanut,
almond butter)
- For some extra protein add some protein powder to your
smoothie ( whey, hemp, pea, rice)
- By adding cinnamon it will help stabilise your blood
sugar levels
- Don’t forget the greens - add spinach, kale, cucumber
- Why not make it thicker and enjoy a smoothie bowl
- Add some chia seeds for some crunch
- Add a espresso or some green tea for a caffeine
boost
