The
game I am about to share with you is a great game you can do with your children
which is extraordinary. With this foosball game, you can offer your children
something different. The foosball table is awesome and very simple game that
everyone can play. But, to buy foosball table can be very expensive, because
most cheap foosball tables cost from $100 to $200. So, this is a great
opportunity for you to make a cool DIY project with your children, save some
money and teach your children some new skills plus, develop children's
creativity.
Most
things that you need for DIY foosball table you already have at home. You need
1 shoebox, 10 clothes pegs, 4 straws, utility knife or scissors, ruler, clear
tape, ping pong ball, and glue. If you have small children I suggest
to give them coloring job and you take the job with utility knife or scissors
because safety is in the first place.
THE
FIRST STEP
In
the first step towards your goal is to make foosball field from the shoebox.
For that, you will need to make two bigger holes on the shorter side of the box
for the goals. Be sure to make holes big enough for ping pong ball. After you
are done with measuring and cutting your two goals it is time to make rods. Also,
you need to make 4 holes on the longer side of the shoebox. For these holes is
important to be in the same line on each side because you will push rods
through the holes. Now, give the shoebox to your children for coloring to
make the box looks nice like a real foosball table. They can glue some pictures
on it or color it, whatever they like.
THE
SECOND STEP
A rod
is a part of foosball table on which will come foosball players. For rod is
important to make them strong so they can't bend while you are playing. You
will make rods from straws and wooden dowels and you only need 4 of them. The
simple way to make rods is to fill straws with wooden dowels. It would be great
to have two different colors of straws so you can differentiate 2 teams.
THE
THIRD STEP
The
third step is making foosball players from clothespins. They will look nice if
you have two different colors so you can have two different teams. If you don't
have clothespins in different colors you can try to color them. Now, use the
glue to fix clothespins on the rods. It is important for you to make sure that
is glue dry. Also be sure to match two color teams with rods and player so you
don't mix it. You can see that there are different types of layout of players
you can make 1 or 2 players on the goal and 3 players in attack this will make
your game extra fun.
After
this step, you are done with this project and you have a foosball table that
will provide you and your children tons of fun. Enjoy your
time playing foosball table with your kids.
